๐ About this Book
Natalie Heller Mills has built an empire around the image of the perfect traditional wife.
To her millions of followers, she lives an idyllic life on a beautiful ranch with her husband and children, baking from scratch, raising a family, and embracing a simpler way of living. Behind the perfectly curated posts, however, there are nannies, producers, expensive equipment, and plenty Natalie would rather keep off camera.
Then one morning, Natalie wakes up somewhere that looks disturbingly familiar, except now there is no electricity, no staff, no social media, and no carefully staged version of domestic life.
She appears to be living in 1855.
Suddenly the pioneer lifestyle she has spent years romanticizing is no longer an aesthetic. It is exhausting, dangerous, dirty, and very real. Natalie has to figure out whether she has somehow travelled through time, become part of an elaborate hoax, or fallen into something even more sinister.

โค๏ธ Why Sumaia Recommends It
This one immediately caught my attention because the idea is so clever.
A woman who has built her entire identity around selling the fantasy of traditional domestic life is suddenly forced to actually live it, without all the modern conveniences hidden behind the camera.
It is sharp, darkly funny, uncomfortable, and very relevant to the way social media can turn a lifestyle into a performance. I especially like that it plays with the gap between what we romanticize online and what real life actually looks like.
Definitely a book for readers who enjoy stories that are entertaining on the surface but have a lot to say underneath.
