📖 About this Book

In 2019, Lucy wakes from a disturbing dream to discover her hands around her ex-lover’s throat. Terrified by what she has done, she escapes to her sister Jess’s home on the Australian coast, only to find Jess missing.

As Lucy searches for answers, she uncovers eerie stories surrounding the seaside town: men disappearing into the ocean, a mysterious baby discovered in a cave, and whispers of women’s voices carried across the waves.

Her search becomes intertwined with another story from 1800, when twin sisters Mary and Eliza are forced aboard a convict ship from Ireland to Australia and begin experiencing strange transformations connected to the sea. Across generations, the women’s stories slowly converge in a tale of sisterhood, buried secrets, folklore and female resilience.
