๐ About this Book
Aging Hollywood icon Evelyn Hugo is finally ready to tell the truth about her glamorous, scandalous life. But instead of choosing a famous journalist, she unexpectedly selects Monique Grant, a relatively unknown reporter, to write her biography.
As Evelyn recounts her rise to fame from 1950s Hollywood through her seven marriages, she reveals the ambition, heartbreak, sacrifices, secrets, and complicated love story hidden behind her public image. And as Monique listens, she begins to understand that Evelyn chose her for a reason, one that connects their lives in a deeply personal way.

โค๏ธ Why Sumaia Recommends It
This is one of those books that looks glamorous on the outside but is actually much more emotional underneath.
I loved Evelyn as a character because she is ambitious, flawed, selfish at times, vulnerable at others, and completely unforgettable. The Old Hollywood setting is addictive, but what stayed with me most was the way the book explores love, identity, sacrifice, regret, and the choices women make to survive.
It is dramatic, emotional, messy, and very human.
