The Ritual by Shantel Tessier | Paperback

From Our Romance Box

📖 About this Book

The Ritual is the first book in the L.O.R.D.S. series by Shantel Tessier, a very dark college romance built around a powerful secret society at Barrington University.

Ryat Alexander Archer has spent years preparing to become a Lord, part of an elite society where power, loyalty and violence come at a very high price. Blakely is pulled into his world when she becomes his chosen one, and what follows is an obsessive, dangerous relationship filled with secrets, manipulation and extremely dark desires.

This one is absolutely not the cute little “he falls first” variety of romance. Humanity apparently looked at red flags and decided to make them the entire interior-design scheme.

❤️ Why Sumaia Recommends It

For readers who specifically love very dark romance, The Ritual delivers obsession, possessiveness, secret societies and a hero whose moral compass has apparently left the building.

The atmosphere is intense and twisted, with plenty of suspense surrounding the L.O.R.D.S. and their traditions. The romance between Ryat and Blakely is highly explicit and deliberately pushes boundaries, so this is definitely one for experienced dark-romance readers rather than someone casually wandering over from a fluffy rom-com.
